With this comic project we try to combine the latest scientific findings and pop culture. Everyone can judge for themselves whether we succeeded in October ’44 – The Liberation of Nemmersdorf. In addition to the comic, the volume contains an extensive editorial section in which the author, a trained historian, presents his research findings along with sources.
Our core principle is: We want to allow comics to be published that are excluded from regular German-language publications. So far, there has been no place in the public discourse for the German victims of flight, expulsion and war crimes. This is where we chime in.
When the original German edition of our Nemmersdorf graphic novel was released in early 2023, its popularity among history buffs made us consider an English edition as well. Now it is done.
